Time To Rest

Fear not, My child, says the Lord, though the storms rage all around you. For you are safe in Me, and you must learn to come into that secret place in My presence to rest.

As Peter walked upon the water, even in the midst of the raging sea with his eyes fixed on me, so I will cause you to walk above your problems, even when it seems that the whole world is in turmoil.

But you must keep your eyes fixed on Me alone, and you must listen to My voice alone. For when you allow your eyes to be distracted by the storm you will surely begin to sink beneath the waves.

Yet even when this happened, I was there to take Peter by the hand and pull him out of his distress to a place of safety. And even though your faith may fail at times, and you allow the pressures all around to overwhelm you, I am still there to rescue you.

Because you are My child and you are very special to me. And I will not allow you to be defeated and conquered by the enemy.

Right now you are not feeling very victorious and you have allowed fear to enter your heart. You feel like you have failed to maintain and stand firm, and you seem to be sinking.

At times like this, the enemy will tell you that because you have failed, I will not protect you and be there for you. But you must reject His lies. Because My love is never conditional, nor is it dependent on what you do.

My love for you is unchanging and eternal. I loved you when you still hated me and were outside of My family. How can I now stop loving you just because you failed for a moment?

No, as a loving parent who reaches out to lift up and attend to the child that has fallen and hurt itself, I will not forsake you, My child. But I will lift you up and hold you in My arms. I will cover you and watch over you and keep you in a place of safety.

So rest now and regain your strength. And when you are ready you will go out again into the battle, refreshed and empowered. And you will do great exploits and overcome in Me says the Lord.
