Defeating The Enemies
Deuteronomy 28:7 The LORD [Yahweh] will cause your enemies that rise up against you to be defeated right in front of you: they will come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways. (GBMV)
To get the full benefit of what this Scripture promises you, it is important that you visualise those enemies that you are fighting. Are you struggling to survive financially right now and the enemy is coming to steal your provision?
Is your health under attack? Can you see the current coronavirus coming to attack you and your family to destroy you and them?
Identify your enemies and try to visualise them as people or creatures coming towards you to hurt you. Give each of them a name and see them standing there threatening you and coming towards you.
They have all ganged up together to attack you, like a mob united in their purpose against you. See them and hear them as they say what they are going to do to you.
You will know this, because these are the very words and thoughts that have bombarded your mind to fill you with fear. They are all the ‘what if’s’ that you have been thinking about.
What if the finances run out and we cannot meet our needs?
What if I catch this virus and end up in hospital being treated?
What if I or those close to me die because of it?
You have tried to shut off these thoughts from your mind, but they keep attacking you anyway.
But now as they come to attack you, you remember the promise of the Lord. So you stand tall and you shout out:
“Oh no you don’t. How dare you even try to attack me. I am a child of the King and My Lord is fighting for me. So I come against you now in His Name and in His power.”
Suddenly it is as though an explosion takes place right in front of this mob as they come towards you. A huge whirlwind begins to form and moves towards them. The look on their faces changes from one of confident aggression to fear and panic.
And right before your eyes you see something amazing happening. They no longer stick together, but each one turns tail and runs in a different direction. They are scattered like sheep and run off holding their hands on their heads.
But the whirlwind now moves towards you and surrounds you. You can feel its power all around you, protecting you, and driving away the enemies that have come against you.
You stand safe and secure and the fears that filled your heart all disappear. And instead you hear His words of assurance. “The battle is won My child, for I have fought and won on your behalf. Therefore stand still now and see the salvation of your Lord.”
