The Next Rung

You are standing, as it were, on a ladder, says the Lord. And the reason you are on a ladder is so that you can move up to a higher level in your spiritual life.

This is what you have desired and you have been waiting for Me to lift you up to the next level. But you seem to be stuck at the level that you have attained until now.

You started out great and have made good progress since you began your ascent, but as you have moved higher it has become more difficult for you. And the reason for this is that you are carrying with you things that are weighing you down.

And while you stopped to take a rest, others have moved ahead of you and have made greater progress than you. So you feel like you have been left behind.

Therefore lay aside those things that are weighing you down says the Lord, and step forward boldly to the next rung on your ladder. For I desire you to move higher and it is not I who have stopped your progress.

The things that you give up and lose will be as nothing compared with the glory that shall be revealed to you. So do not hesitate anymore and stop complaining and crying out to me to move you higher.

Your promotion and the ability to rise to new heights, with the many benefits that come with it, are now fully in your hands and not in mine.

I stand ready to take you to the next level and I greatly desire to see you rise up. And indeed you will experience immediate results when you do this, says the Lord.
