Watch Those Roots

The Lord says you need to get back to the roots that make you stable and secure.

You have put all your attention on the branches of your tree, and in trying to produce more growth you have neglected the source of all growth, which comes from the roots alone.

Unless you are rooted and grounded in faith and love with hope, all of your efforts in ministry and your spiritual activities in this life are meaningless.

Therefore examine your motives says the Lord and return to being motivated by My heart and desires. Because when you put My desires first, then no matter what you do, it cannot fail.

You have wondered why your many efforts and activities have not yet led to success or caused your ministry to flourish. And you are confused when after doing the best you can, there is still a deep dissatisfaction inside of you.

But you have strayed from good faith and found your heart full of doubt. You have strayed from true love and found your heart filled with anger and bitterness.

And you have strayed from true hope so that you can no longer see your way clearly into the future.

Your roots have stopped feeding your tree, and it has begun to wither and die. You are feeling dry and empty inside and do not know what to do about it. But you can remedy this easily by returning now to My heart.

Take time to wait on Me and hear My voice. Then just let Me live My life through you and everything will spring back to life again says the Lord. For the roots that are grounded in Me will once again pour out the sources of life and every good thing.
