It Will Come

You received My words with gladness, says the Lord, and you reached out to embrace My promises with great expectation. But instead of the blessing you expected, circumstances only worsened.

And now you are confused and wondering if I changed My mind, or if you missed it somehow and gave the enemy license in your life. You have even wondered if this is My way of testing you.

But I do not test My children or bring evil into their lives to deal with them. And when I lead you into a situation that predisposes you to evil, I know that you are capable of dealing with this using My power. And it always leads to promotion in My Kingdom.

You are indeed capable of dealing whatever the enemy throws at you if you will stand up in My authority and power and set him to flight. He knows this, and that is why he is telling you that I am the author of these difficulties.

Therefore look beyond the thorns and thistles that have been thrown across your path, says the Lord, and see the blessing that lies ahead. Refuse to be moved by what you see or hear, but be moved only by what I say.

For the enemy cannot maintain his attack, and as you persevere, things will begin to open up before you once again. And your way will grow brighter so that you can see your way more clearly.

Maintain a spirit of praise for the enemy cannot stand it when you praise Me, and he will soon leave you alone for a season. And when he realizes that you will not be moved by his attack, he will turn his attention to others who are more vulnerable and weak.

Know that My promises will be fulfilled in due season, for I never change My mind, and I will honor My word, says the Lord.
