Rest In His Peace

John 14: 27 I am leaving you with peace; I am giving you My peace, and I am not giving it to you in the same way that the world gives. Do not permit your heart to be made ill at ease, neither let it be insecure and fearful.

Though you live in a world that is totally lacking in peace, yet in the midst of all that is happening all around you, I want to give you My peace says the Lord.

Your heart is filled with conflict and fear as you consider both your circumstances and the future. Voices all around you are filled with conflict and everyone is rushing around not knowing how to solve their problems.

But it does not need to be so with you. For I am with you and I said that I would never leave you. So stop listening to their voices and listen instead to my quiet, confident voice.

My voice deep within you speaks continually. It speaks gently and with full assurance and it speaks in love. But my voice is never loud, nor do I dominate or try to take control.

The world’s way of peace is one of selfish trading of benefits, where there is always a price to pay for peace. But My peace is given freely and without limit. And all you need to do to experience it is to reach out and receive it with thankfulness.

So stop right now where you are says the Lord. Stop all your striving and thrashing about in the dark. And know that I am in control of your life. And I will never let any harm come to you as you remain in the safe protection of My presence.

Listen to My words of peace and let them penetrate every part of your being. Then turn your back on the cares of this world, and rest in Me alone. And you will know the peace that surpasses all understanding.

For you will find your place of peace and rest in Me says the Lord.
