Marching in Rank
Deuteronomy 32: 30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD [Yahweh] had shut them up? [GBMV]
You have accomplished great things for Me, says the Lord, and with My help you have done many outstanding things. But just as an army shows its power by the accumulated strengths of its soldiers, so My power is greatly increased when two or more believers unite their hearts together in Me.
You have great desires and aspirations, and you have cried out to Me to use you in a far greater way. But there is still a limit to what you can accomplish alone, even with My help. You need the help of others standing by your side as you go forward together in My Name.
But how can you accomplish this when you have nobody standing by your side? And how can you remedy this situation and prepare your heart for Me to use you in a greater capacity?
It is not enough to have others by your side, just as an army is far more than just a large number of soldiers. But every soldier must learn to resist the temptation to go his own way. He must learn to march in rank with the other soldiers who are going into battle with him.
For just as the right hand needs the assistance of the left hand, so each one must recognise and value the other, and be ready to work together without a spirit of independence and self-reliance.
You have come to a place where your own skills are so well developed, that you have begun to take upon yourself a load that should be shared. And as you look around you at those who are already by your side you have considered them incapable of helping you to carry this load.
The answer does not lie in finding someone who is capable and perhaps more experienced like you. But you must open your eyes to see what you already have in your hands. You must open your eyes to see the potential in those who are already within your reach.
For just as David took those who were in trouble and rejected by society and turned them into mighty warriors, so you too must take those who seem to lack potential and pour into them all that you have. Then entrust them with some of the responsibilities that you are carrying.
As you learn to build relationships you will soon find that your capabilities are greatly increased. And instead of one setting a thousand to flight, you will see only two setting ten thousand to flight, says the Lord.
