Look Up Not Down

I have placed before you a path that leads to many wonderful things, says the Lord. And if you were to lift up your head and gaze into the distance, you will see some of the things that I have in store for you.

These are the things that you asked me for, and I have made a way for you to experience the things you desire. But I have also planned even better things for you; things that may surprise you that you did not expect, because I only give good gifts.

But instead of looking ahead at the majesty and wonder of what lies before you, you have fixed your gaze on the ground ahead of you. And you are trying to figure out how to walk this road and reach the destination.

Your mind is filled with questions and doubts and you are not moving forward because you see only the obstacles that you must overcome.

But this is like looking down at the ants by your feet instead of gazing at the mountains that lie before you. Instead of your vision growing and you expecting big things, you have become wrapped up in the small things.

See I am standing ahead of you on the road, calling to you, with my hand stretched out to you says the Lord. And all you need to do is keep your eyes fixed on me. Then let me lead you and take you to your destination.

I did not ask you to figure out the way to do this. Nor do I demand of you anything more than just trusting Me. For I will empower you when you need it to do the things that must be done. And I will provide all the resources you need to accomplish this.

So lift you your head up high now and step forward boldly into the future. And each step that you take will lead you closer to experiencing the desires of your heart.
