Why The Detour?

You have been on a detour, says the Lord, and for a season you have not been traveling the road that I set before you. And because this detour has been longer than expected, you have begun to lose sight of the original road that I gave you to travel.

This was necessary, not only to prepare you for greater things but also for Me to set things in place for you. Because there are many factors involved and many people involved in the journey that you will travel.

And although you were ready to move ahead, others who will journey with you were not yet ready. This is the main reason that the detour has taken so long. For I could not bring you back to your original road until all factors were in place.

Therefore do not be discouraged, and do not think that I have changed My plan for you. But I am working to bring all things into place and to set some on your path that are needed to make your journey complete.

And I have also been perfecting some things in you that will be needed for you to succeed on this journey. Therefore I have brought some new circumstances your way to help train you and improve some of the skills you will need along this road.

All of these factors will soon converge as they reach completion, and then your time of detour will be over. And when you return once again to the main road you will travel, your progress will be far greater, and you will reach your destination quickly and securely.

So learn speedily the things you need to learn, says the Lord, and wait patiently for Me to finish My preparations. And before you know it, you will resume the path of blessing and great success that I have planned for you.
