A New Road Awaits You

The road you have walked has suddenly come to an end says the Lord. And what you thought was an open road is now sealed and blocked by a huge wall.

Know that although I did not create this wall, I knew ahead of time that it would arise and block your way. And I already starting working on a plan for you to walk on a different road.

In fact the new road that I have for you has already been laid out and is ready for you to walk on. But you cannot see it right now, because you are looking in the wrong direction.

While you keep your eyes fixed on your old road, and on the obstacle that stands in your way you will never see the new road. And every minute that you spend trying to remove the obstacle is time wasted, when you could have been walking the new road.

When I led the nation of Israel to their Promised Land, I did not take them in the direction that they anticipated. But I led them by a different way.

And I did not require them to plan their journey or attempt to go in the best direction. I told them to only keep their eyes fixed on Me. And all they needed to see was the Pillar of Cloud and Pillar of Fire at night that held My presence.

When the pillar moved they moved, and when it stopped, they stopped. And so I led them to their Promised Land. The way was not always easy, and there were many different obstacles and difficulties along the way.

I spoke to them through My servant Moses and dealt with each problem as it arose. And they continued to follow My presence until they came to their Promised Land.

Have I not promised you your own Promised Land of blessing says the Lord? And shall I not keep My promise and bring you to that place in due time?

But until then, you must not allow yourself to be diverted by the obstacles that come in your way. And you must be ready to change your direction at any time when I lead you to do so.

Just continue to come into My presence and keep your eyes fixed on the cloud, and I will show you the new road that I have for you says the Lord.

For it is a road of much blessing, and once you are on that new road you will no longer regret that you were blocked from walking the original road you were on.
