Starting Small
Zechariah 4: 10 For who has considered insignificant the time of small things? [GBMV]
Do not despise small beginnings, says the Lord, for the most powerful rivers in this world, all began with a small stream that was not very noticeable or significant.
You have looked at what you are doing and it seems so insignificant compared to what many others are accomplishing. There is a temptation to think that what you are doing is not of great importance.
But in reality, the very fact that you are moving in a direction, even if it is small, is not only a sign but also a guarantee that great things await you in the future.
The key is to be faithful and persistent with what I have already placed in your hands. And as you continue to pour out the little that I have already given you, it will surely grow and increase over time.
Until, like the small tributary of a river, it becomes a raging torrent of power and glory. Be faithful in the small things, and you will soon qualify to receive bigger things.
I have great things in mind for you, but you must first prove yourself in the small things before I can trust you with the big things. But as you remain faithful and obedient you will be amazed how soon the flow will begin to increase.
So rejoice in the small things I have given you says the Lord, for they hold the power to become great things, and to lift you up to a higher plane. And as you continue to minister faithfully in the small things that are available to you right now, you will soon find yourself moving higher and functioning in a far greater and more powerful ministry.
