Your Safe Place

Proverbs 18: 10 The name of the LORD [Yahweh] [is] a tower of strength: the righteous runs to it, and is high [above danger].

Just as small animals often scurry up a large tree to find a place of safety when danger threatens, so you do not need to be afraid at what life has thrown at you, says the Lord.

You cannot fight this battle alone, and you should not feel like you have failed when your circumstances become more than you can bear.

I do not expect you to be strong enough to overcome alone, and I do not condemn you when your faith seems weak.

If you run to Me as your tower of strength, you will gain two main benefits. Firstly, you will be protected and can hide until things improve. And secondly, you will begin to see things from a different perspective.

What may seem to be a huge difficulty when viewed at ground level, may become something not so serious when you climb up high and see it from a different viewpoint.

So rest in Me and let Me show you how things look from My point of view. You will realize that I am still in control of your life, and the problems you are facing are not as big as they seem.

Then, when you are ready to face the world again, you may return to the ground level and continue on your journey. And know that in the future, when you become overwhelmed again, I am still there as your safe place.
