<-Chapter 33 Chapter 1-> Show Condensed VersionThe Gospel
Tonight I want to discuss the Gospel of Healing in our chat at 7.00 pm
Try to be there as this is an important subject
Morake: Grace and peace everyone. Iam here.
Nakia Hawley: Hello Everyone! I'm here also!
Daphne Crause: Greetings everyone
Magnus Martinsson: Hi everyone
Mark Stalnaker: I’m here
Shanterica Robinson: Hi everyone
Les: Welcome everyone
[Les: Tonight I want to speak about Salvation and the Gospel
Les: To start I would like to ask you a simple question
Les: Are you saved?
Mark Stalnaker: Yes 🙌
John Crause: Yes
How do you know you are saved?
Mark Stalnaker: By Him the Holy Spirit my down payment
There is assurance in by spirit by the Holy spirit
Les: How did this come about?
Morake: In my spirit
Les: saved
Morake: The holy spirit gave me a new birth.
Les: So you were just going along minding your own business, and suddenly the Holy Spirit saved you?
Mark Stalnaker: conviction, revelation, acceptance….He made me new
Les: Yes, but how did this all come about?
Mark Stalnaker: I heard the Gospel
Les: What did God use to save you?
Morake: I was convicted by him after hearing the gospel
Les: ah thank you
Les: Now let me share a Scripture with you
Les: Romans 1:15 So, with everything that is in me, I am also keen to preach the Gospel to you who are in Rome. [GBMV]
Les: Paul was writing here to Roman Christians
Les: They had all heard the Gospel and got saved, right?
Les: So why did He still want to preach the gospel to them?
[2Les: Did they need to hear it again?
Morake: No, they believed it.
Les: Let's clarify first what we mean by salvation and then what is meant by the Gospel
Mark Stalnaker: So that they could hear the complete gospel and the fullness of it for every area of their existence.
Les: What does it mean to be saved?
Mark Stalnaker: To be delivered from the curse of the fall and sin, to lead an abundant life
Les: I want you to look at this passage in James
Les: James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, having anointed him with olive oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. [GBMV]
Les: Paul speaks about the sick being saved
[Les: Were they not born again yet?
Les: ssorry James
Morake: Salvation is an ongoing process.
Les: Yes, but then how can you say you are saved now?
Morake: Every area of our lives needs salvation.
Les: When you first accepted the Lord as your savior, did you have full assurance that you were saved?
Morake: My spirit is saved.
Les: Did you feel something real that convinced you that you are saved?
Shanterica Robinson: I did, I felt that my spirit was reborn
Mark Stalnaker: I did, I was different
Les: I was taught that when I lead someone to the Lord
Morake: Nothing to feel, but the Holy gives witness to our spirit that we are da saved.
Shanterica Robinson: My heart changed, my mind changed, I repented to others and asked for forgiveness, my countenance even changed
Morake: Holy Spirit
Les: I would use a Scripture like this
Les: Romans 10:13 For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. [GBMV]
Les: When you are first born again, you are not even aware. that the holy Spirit exists
Les: Your faith is based squarely on the Word
Daphne Crause: Yes
Les: God said it, I believe it, and that settles it
Les: James Kennedy, in his Evangelism Explosion, would ask someone two questions
Les: 1. Are you sure that if you died now, you would go to heaven?
Les: 2. If you died and stood before God and he were to ask you, “Why should I let you into heaven?†what would you say?
Les: Would say, “Because I feel saved?â€
Les: Or would you take your stand on the Word?
Mark Stalnaker: the word is always first
Les: Clearly not many of you have led someone to the Lord?
Les: ok now with that behind us, I want to go further into the actual salvation experience
Les: You should have come to the Lord in prayer and said something like this
Les: Lord Jesus, I believe that you died for my sins and I accept you now as My lord and Savior
Nakia Hawley: I have not
Les: You should learn the Evangelism Explosion method
Les: I have used it for many years
Daphne Crause: Yes, it is powerful
Les: What if you are in a church and the preACHER invites folks to come forward?
Les: often he will first lead them in a time of prayer
Morake: I love too
Les: But usually each person will be given a chaNCE to speak to a counselor
Les: if you are that counselor, how will you lead them to the Lord and then give them assurance that they are now saved?
Les: You would need to give them some Scripture, then pray with them, and then give them more Scripture
Les: Only later, as they grow spiritually, will they come to the place where they have assuraNCE from the Holy Spirit
Les: I noticed this when I did teaching on evangelism that few believers understand the process of the New Birth
Les: No wonder you have not led anyone to the Lord yet
Les: Because you do not know how
Nakia Hawley: So true
Les: But that is another subject we can discuss further
Les: I will be giving a lot more on this soon, because the Lord is currently taking me through a new level of training as an evangelist
Les: But tonight I want to follow a different order
Les: I want you to see what SaLVATION really entails
Les: The original Greek verb translated Saved is the Greek word Sozo
Les: It is the same word used whenever the Scripture speaks of being saved
Les: It is the word used also by James concerning saving the sick
Les: The word Sozo has many meanings, but we always think only of the New Birth
Les: But it actually refers to the New Birth, Healing, and deliverance, including deliverance from poverty and lack
Les: So when the Word speaKS OF being saved it refers to the New Birth, Healing and Deliverance
Mark Stalnaker: Amen
Daphne Crause: Yes
Les: But it is never taught that way because we have limited the Gospel to the Good News of the New Birth
Les: But it is also the good news of healing, provision, and deliverance from every problem in life
Les: Unfortunately, we are only taught to receive Jesus as our savior
Les: Then after the new birth, we struggle to obtain healing for our bodies and provision and all the other blessings of life
Les: I can guarantee that though you have received Jesus as your Savior, you have never received Him as your healer
Les: or as your provider
Mark Stalnaker: Good point!
John Crause: Yeah
Les: When we need deliverance from sin, we come to Jesus to receive cleansing in his blood
Les: But when we are sick, we look to the physical and seek a medical practitioner
Les: When we lack finances, we look to work and business to provide
Daphne Crause: Yes
Les: But sickness and poverty are both the result of sin
Mark Stalnaker: They are
Les: Jesus is our Savior from all of them
Mark Stalnaker: Yes Amen!
Les: Until sin is dealt with, neither sickness nor lack can be addressed
Nakia Hawley: Amen
Les: When Adam sinned, he gave Satan license to destroy his life
Les: That is when sickness first appeared
Les: That is when loss of lack first appeared
Daphne Crause: Yes exactly
Les: They lost the boundtiful provision of God in the Garden
Morake: Very true
Les: So tonight I am going to lead you into a different kind of Evangelistic process
Les: and I am not going to lead you to the Lord for salvation
Les: You have already accepted HIm AS THAT
Les: But I want to lead you to the Lord as your healer and protector and provider
Les: Are you ready to do this?
Morake: Amen. Iam so ready.
Les: Today is going to be a turning point in your life
Les: like the day you were born again
Jessica Anthony: AmenðŸ™ðŸ½
Morake: Amen. I receive
Les: I will do as I usually do with an unbeliever when I am leading them to the Lord
Les: I want you yo repeat after me the following prayer
Les: and you must mean it with all your heart
Les: Lord Jesus, I have already received you as My Savior
Les: Now I come to accept you as my healer and provider
Les: I acknowledge that just as I could not save myself from my sin
Les: I also cannot save myself from sickness and lack
Les: So I ask you to come into my life now nd do what I CANNOT do
Daphne Crause: Yes, amen
Les: I ask that the Holy Spirit move through my body nd heal it from everything that is not perfect health
Les: make sure you speak these words out loud
Les: then they carry greater power and are like signing on a dotted line
Les: Lord Jesus, I confess you now as my Lord and Savior
[Les: Not only from my sins of the past and my daily failures
Les: But as the healer of both my soul and my body
Les: I ask you to provide in abundance for my temporary needs
Les: From this day forward, Lord, come and live your life in me
Les: in and through me
Les: I yield my body to you as a living sacrifice
Les: Let it be your temple in which you live and move
Les: Thank you for it, Lord
Les: I receive it now
Les: Lord Jesus, I pray now for each one here
Les: I ask you to grant full assurance of faith
Les: and cause these things to become reality in the life of each one
Les: Come, Holy Spirit, and do what only you can do. Amen
Les: If you prayed that prayer, then I want to welcome you to the Abundant life that will be yours in Him
John Crause: Amen
Nakia Hawley: Amen ðŸ™
Morake: Amen
Jessica Anthony: AmenðŸ™ðŸ½
Les: Each Day as you go out into this world, take Him with you
Mark Stalnaker: Amen, and I did indeed receive it
Shanterica Robinson: Amen!
Les: And you will walk in victory in all areas
Lila Jones: Hello. Sorry for the interruption. I’m just coming in...on my lunch break
Les: Mark this day as important like the DAY you were born again
Mark Stalnaker: Yes!
Les: Go through the chat LiLa, YOU missed something important
Lila Jones: Okay, I will go through after I get off work. Thank you.
Les: I will also publish this chat on GBM Books for those who missed it
[essica Anthony: Amen 01 day of June, new beginningsðŸ™ðŸ½

Mark Stalnaker: I am, and it so happens it is the first day of the month, the first day of a new life.
Nakia Hawley: I love this! June 1 2026 Amen ðŸ™
Les: just as you no longer need to struggle with sin
Morake: Amen. Thank you. That will be a good reminder for us.

Mark Stalnaker: Amen
Nakia Hawley: My mom passed away on June 3rd, 2016, 10 years ago. I can now look at the first of June differently
Morake: Yes, June first. Month of new things.
Les: You will be amazed at how things begin to fall into place for you from now on
Les: expect your life to change
Morake: Amen.
Mark Stalnaker: I am expecting exactly that
Nakia Hawley: Thank you, Lord!!!! Thank you, Dad! ðŸ™
[Les: I noticed an immediate improvement in my health
