You'd like to lose some weight and slim down a bit. Oh yeah, quite a few there. You'd like to have more money in the bank or better regular income.

Perhaps you'd like to have more friends, better relationships with others and if you're single perhaps you'd like to be married and to have someone to love and that will love you. Perhaps you'd like to express yourself in a talent like singing or music or writing or acting or or drawing. Perhaps you'd like to just become more confident and outgoing.

Maybe you'd like to have a stronger commitment to the Lord and to live a more spiritual life. Some of those sound familiar? I'm sure you can probably add a few of your own but I think that covers quite a broad scope there, doesn't it? Well, I'd like to tell you that the Lord has provided for all of these things and they are well within your reach. Some time ago when we first began this ministry we were struggling in many areas and God had begun to teach me some principles and I waited on the Lord for an answer to our dilemma and the situation that we were in and what was born was a series which became the flagship of this ministry.

It got us off the ground, it got us moving, it broke us out of so many of the problems that we'd been having and it became the foundational teaching for us of what it is to be a Christian and to live the spiritual life and to be all that God has called us to be. We originally called it the Way of Blessing. In time we added a few more enhancements to it and expanded it a bit and we renamed it the New Way of Blessing and right now it's available to you in the form of two complete books.

It's quite an extensive teaching. Now, I felt that I'd covered most of what needed to be covered at that time but the Lord has kind of been nagging me and showing me that there is more that I didn't cover enough and so I'm in the process of writing volume three of the Way of Blessing, the New Way of Blessing and today I'm going to give you an introduction, just an introduction to where we're going to be going with this new series which I believe is going to expand our understanding to a far greater and more practical area. Okay, firstly let's review the basic principles that were taught in the Way of Blessing and we'll save all of you from flying through the first volume.

The second volume is more practical but the first one lays out all the principles in about 13 chapters and quite extensive. Some people get bogged down in reading but if you battle to read they were preached so we have the videos and we have the audios of all these teachings available. If you could say yes to any of these things that I mentioned, you need what's taught in the Way of Blessing.

So, I'm assuming you know the foundation and I'm going to build on that foundation but I'm going to very quickly give you today an introduction to the foundation. Firstly, scriptures tell us that God has already given us everything we need. In the Way of Blessing, volume one, I took Ephesians chapter one verse three which says Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly realm in Christ and I showed that God has already placed within us everything that we'll ever need.

Now, Peter told us the exact same thing here. He says his power has already given to us everything required for the ultimate life and the Greek word there is zoe which is a very rare word for life amongst the Greeks became more prominent in the scriptures because it involves the power of the spirit the soul and the body and it speaks of a fullness of life the abundant life that Jesus said that we should have. Now, God has given us everything.

You say well I'm still poor, I'm still ignorant, I'm still unskilled, I'm still all alone, whatever it is that would make you happy right now. You're saying but God hasn't given it to me because I don't have it. The main principle of the Way of Blessing is that God deposited everything you will ever need into your spirit and he gave it to you in spiritual essence.

He gave you the elements that are needed just like everything in this world is composed of basic elements that can be put together to create matter. So, God put the elements the spiritual elements in your spirit. He gave you everything that you will need to create and to obtain everything you could ever desire in this life.

Now, all of that is contained in our spirits. Trouble is before it can be of any use to us we've got to get it out because it's hidden away there. Within our spirits are three basic forces.

Spiritual forces which the scripture speaks about very often and they are the foundational forces of everything that is good and that brings blessing in our lives and they are the force of faith and of love and of hope. Now, these forces they've got to be released and when they are released out of our spirits they go out and they create the things that we desire. Now, since your spirit is living deep within you surrounded by the soul and the body in order for that to be released it's got to come out into the open.

To do that it's got to come out via your soul and through your body and to be manifest in this world because it's in this world where we need these things isn't it? In our hearts we've already got them potentially but in order to create them tangibly and physically in this world those powerful forces in our spirits must be released outwards through the soul and the body into the earth and I taught quite extensively in the way of blessing how to begin to go about and do that. Now, in order there for them to flow out freely through the soul the soul must it must be in a condition that allows that flow to take place. If there are blockages in the soul the power doesn't flow out.

You can have the full power of the mains but it's not going to produce anything if there is resistance in the way. You connect electricity to the light, the light shines. If you put a heavy resistance in the path between the electricity source and the light, the light is going to be very very dim if it even comes on at all.

So our problem is not that we don't have the potential. We've got it already in our spirits. The problem is firstly we don't know how to let it out and secondly when we try to let it out we find that there's things that get in the way that block it and stop it from coming out and those blockages usually lie in the soul.

Now to get all of this we need knowledge. So Peter speaks about us having the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. You need to know how to get it out and I began to teach that in the first two series of the way of blessing and I'm going to now continue to show you some more practical ways of getting it out.

Now there are different kinds of knowledge. We have theoretical knowledge where we learn principles. It kind of sits in our mind there.

We know, we know. Did you know that the most intelligent people in this world are usually the poorest? You might be an absolute genius but if you don't know what to do with that knowledge nobody's going to pay for it. It's not going to benefit you in the least.

There are people who are stadiolics. They got their minds crammed with knowledge. They're like a walking encyclopedia.

Teachers normally get the lowest paid you know that. There's no premium on knowledge and yet today there's become an explosion of knowledge. If you want to make money on the internet, sell knowledge.

It's the best selling product because everybody somehow believes and not incorrectly that if I just knew how to do something, if I just knew how to succeed in the things I desire, then I would be able to succeed but I don't know enough and that's true. But unfortunately theoretical knowledge is not enough. It's not enough.

We need practical or experimental knowledge. We need to be able to transfer that knowledge from our mind into our worlds and into action. It's what we call hands-on knowledge.

I need to be able to take that knowledge and make use of it otherwise what use is it to me? Any people they've been feeding inwards, feeding inwards, feeding inwards. They've got a wealth in their soul and in their spirit but if they don't learn how to get it out, it doesn't benefit anybody. They will die with all that knowledge in their head and it'll die with them.

Some people have been studying for years and they still are not succeeding in life and still don't have the desires of their hearts. We need experiential knowledge, the knowledge that comes through experience. That is true knowledge and Peter speaks about the full ultimate knowledge, complete knowledge, experimental knowledge, experiential knowledge, all of these combined together.

Taking the theory, the principles and applying them practically and making them work and proving them through experience. Many people have a great knowledge of the word. They don't know how to take that word and use it to put bread on the table.

They don't know how to take that word and use it to bring healing to their bodies. They don't know how to take that word and use it to produce good relationships with others and all the things that we really need to be happy in life. Our full knowledge requires the use of all the senses.

The five senses, what are they? Seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, tasting. You see, in order to gain knowledge you need to be able to see it. If you don't see it, it's not full knowledge, is it? If necessary, you need to be able to hear it, if it's audible.

You need to be able to reach out and touch it and feel it. You might need to smell it or to taste it and until you've got all of those senses involved in this knowledge, the knowledge is still sparse and incomplete. So you may have the knowledge that God wants to bless you.

Can you see it? When you come to the Lord and you say, Lord, I desire this from you. What are you seeing in your mind? You're probably seeing yourself the way you are. We have people come in this prayer, Lord, I feel so sick.

Lord, I feel so terrible. What are you seeing? You see, until you see the real thing, it's never going to happen. That's a blockage in your soul.

You're praying and you're asking the Lord to do something, but in your mind all you see is the negative. See, that's why we've got to change the condition of our mind to get rid of those negative things. You say, well, you know, we've got to get it by faith, brother.

No, if we have to see it, then we didn't get it by faith. And faith is a way of seeing. Faith is a way of seeing.

Scripture says faith is the substance of things hopeful. Faith gives it substance. Faith makes it real.

So real you can touch it. And it doesn't come easy, does it? And it doesn't come automatically. There's a wealth of knowledge in this world.

Books are being produced daily of the thousands. We've got whole encyclopedias of knowledge, but we remain ignorant. Well, you need to be trained to get full knowledge.

Someone must teach you what you do not know. Someone must show you so that you really know it. You need what we call hands-on training.

You know, when I first was keen on computer programming, those days it was Microsoft BASIC, I think it was. I wanted to program and I had this little machine. And so I got the training manual for the BASIC language.

And I sat down and I started to read it. And it was all Greek. It was Greek, really.

I used to go to bed at night with headaches. You know, the whole day I've been reading this and trying to make sense of it. Man, it was tough.

It was tough. And you know, when that happens, you know what you do? You say, I bother. I bother.

It's just not worth the effort. But I had a passion in me. I forced myself and I taught myself the program BASIC using Microsoft manual.

Those days we didn't have such freely available things, not even like the internet, where we could just go and get all the tutorials in the world, get video tutorials and audio and somebody that could show you how to do it. So I learned the hard way. But you know, there is so much more available to us today.

And here's what we have available to train us and to teach us. Firstly, Jesus is our source for everything. Jesus, as a man, has been there and done that.

I say, but you know, he never learned to program computers. They never had it those days. He knew the principles.

Jesus, as a man, already gave us a model on how we should live. And sometimes all we need to do is copy him, go and read his story. I read the Gospels again a few times and see what Jesus did and how he did it.

He's given us a model that we can follow. You know, if your spiritual life is lacking and you're struggling in so many areas, what did Jesus do? Some people have taken this little phrase, what would Jesus do? They make bangles out of it. Hang it around.

Oh, we seldom do what he did, do we? It's all just a catchphrase. But you know, it's real. What would Jesus do? There's a good starting point.

I can't afford to get somebody to train me. He's free. And the word is there.

And he's also God. He was a man. So he showed us how to live as man.

But he's also God. And he's living in us through his Holy Spirit. So he wants to live through you.

He wants to live in you. You say, well, I can't do what Jesus did. Oh, why don't you let him do it again through you? You mean I've got to be a little robot? No.

No, he doesn't take control of us like that and make us into robots. We willingly submit to him. And when we face a situation, we say, Lord, I don't understand this.

You know, some years ago, while I was still learning to program, I struggled. My boss at that time was a Christian. And we needed to write a program that would help the business to get going.

And he was depending on me because I knew a bit of programming now. And I struggled. And I battled.

And then I just came to the Lord. And, you know, I should have done that first. But we don't do it.

We struggle and try and do it ourselves. And then when we finally reach the end of ourselves, oh, what the heck? Let's ask the Lord. Stupid, stupid.

So I asked the Lord. And he spoke to me very clearly. He said, do you not realize that the one who created the universe is living in you? He knows a thing or two, even about programming, you know.

And you realize that the Holy Spirit in you will show you things. I said, well, Lord, I don't know how, but show me. And I prayed.

And I said, Lord, I need to do this in this program. And I can't figure it out. And I need you to show me and to help me.

Just like that. I just saw a picture. I can't even remember the picture now.

But I just saw the pieces coming together. And I knew how to do that program. You know, it was just a small little thing.

But to me, it was a total miracle. From that day forward, I learned. I don't have to struggle and do it on my own.

The time came that I had to stand behind the pulpit and preach. I said, Lord, what do I preach to the people? And how do I stand up here feeling confident? Sometimes if you're a minister and it's your job to preach, the last thing you want to do on a Sunday is preach. That it's your obligation.

It's your responsibility. And sometimes you stand up there and man, you are empty. Sometimes the Lord is gracious and he brings his anointing down on you.

And as you step in there, bow, there it comes. Pow, pow, pow. And you minister under the anointing.

And everybody says, wow, that was awesome. Everybody shakes hands. Obviously, what a great message.

Next week, the Lord forgot to come. And people are avoiding you at the door. Because they don't want to lie.

It was horrible. The Lord said, remember what I showed you. Power is within you.

I was in before I fully knew the way of blessing principles. He said, my spirit is within you. You don't have to wait for me to come upon you.

It's there. Learn to tap into it and pull it out. From that time, I've never had a problem standing up to preach.

I can preach at the drop of a hat. Those of you who have dared to ask me a question, now you get a sermon. I don't have to think.

It just comes up out of my... Because I've learned to tap what's inside of me. You see, everything you'll ever need is already inside of you. Now, we can put a lot more in there by learning good things, by being trained and pushing additional knowledge down into our souls that can enhance what comes up out of our spirits.

Let Jesus live his life through you and stop trying to do it yourself. What is it you want to accomplish? Let's look at that list I gave at the beginning. Let's look at your personal desire.

What is it that you are really wanting to desire right now? And you're thinking in yourself, I need to make myself better. Perhaps I need to look better. Oh, if I could lose 15, 20 kgs, what a difference it would make in my life.

If I just knew the right people, the right contacts, what a difference it would make in my life. And the more you try and accomplish these things, the more you fail. But you know, he wants to live his life in you and he wants to do these things for you.

He wants to accomplish all of these things for you. And it's amazing, amazing what he can do if you let him. See, he has some tools that he uses to accomplish this.

Firstly, he's given us his word, which contains most of the principles we need. Yeah, it doesn't teach me how to program in basic there or in any other language. But it teaches me principles of how to come into a relationship with him and to learn how to use his power to accomplish these things.

See, the indwelling Holy Spirit has all these abilities. And then he provides teachers to show us the way. Well, how did the teachers learn it? The hard way, applying through the whole basic manual.

See, once I'd spent a month or two playing through the basic manual, I could sit down and teach it to you in a couple of weeks. In detail, in a way you would understand it because I learned it through struggling through it. See, the preparation and training of a teacher, let me tell you, is one of the most difficult.

You know, we always harp on how tough it is for the poor prophets, shame. They always go through deaths and they've got to learn to let go of their abilities. See, the teacher actually has to live everything before they can teach it.

Gotta live it. So, if your life's been one of everything that went wrong, that could go wrong, went wrong, that was me. If something could go wrong, it went wrong.

Just my luck. That's what people say. No, no, God said, I'm teaching you how to deal and overcome those things with my word, with my spirit.

So, once you've learned how to do it, you can teach other people how to do it. He said, don't complain when the Lord puts you through some of these difficult things. Say, why did this have to happen in my life? Maybe God's called you to be a teacher.

Maybe he wants you to learn how to deal with that through his word so that you can then be a teacher to others, to show them how to overcome it. And then he uses circumstances to prepare us. Oh, circumstances.

Usually, they're the bad ones, aren't they? Usually, they're the things that go wrong. All the pressures that come on us, all the difficulties in life, the things that give us ulcers and high blood pressure and make us very unhappy. Lord, I want you to do this for me.

The Lord says, sure. Oh, that's not what I asked for. Scripture says, tribulation produces patience.

Lord, please make me more patient. But here's some tribulation. If you've submitted yourself to him and I'm going to say, everything's just going to fall into place and go, all right.

You're going to have to learn in the crucible of life. You're going to have to learn sometimes in the fire. Let me tell you, you're going to come out as gold.

You're going to come out pure and lovely and beautiful and a vessel and an instrument that the Lord can use. And the very things that you have desired, he's going to take you to a higher level than you even hoped. It's not just going to fall in your lap.

You know why? Because you've already got it. But your soul needs to get dealt with. Yes, soul needs to get dealt with.

And he has to use all of these different tools to deal with your soul. See, we've got to make changes to our soul. Now, some of the bad experiences of life have left scars.

And those scars are blockages to the flow of God's power. It wants to come out of our spirit. But he's provided a way to fix those.

We just had a whole seminar to teach you some of the principles of inner healing. Do you realize that every healing experience that you had in that seminar took a resistance out of the way that caused God's power to flow more through you? You say, well, God healed. He dealt with those things.

And now that's great. I'm happy that I'm now healed. You got full flow now, right? Power is coming out unrestricted now, right? There's a few more things there.

I don't think this is a one once or for once or twice off. This is a process. It takes time.

And each time you pull those resistances out of the way, the current gets stronger. The power gets stronger. The soul has to be transformed and changed before it can happen.

Now, for many of us, wrong teachings have left us confused about the truth. And through your life, you've been taught things, whether it be by your parents, siblings, friends, relatives, schoolteachers, preachers, or preachers don't always get it right. They very often, they get it wrong because they were taught by somebody else.

It was taught by somebody else. It was wrong. And you know, my dad always believed that.

My grandpa believed that. So it must be true. No, not necessarily.

I was amazed when I finally decided to prepare for ministry and I began to study and I went into the word and discovered that the word didn't say what some of those preachers were telling me it said. They twisted it. But I believed it.

He's the man of God, woman of God. They should know what they're talking about. Sometimes the first thing you need is a bit of unteaching.

If you dare to come to our training schools, you will learn. Sometimes we've got to unteach you. We're going to take out of you all of those wrong teachings because you know what they are? They're blockages in your soul because your mind sits in your soul and your mind is blocked.

People have been taught that poverty is what we should be aiming for, that prosperity is evil and that it's bad, that God doesn't want to bless us, that we should not be lifted up in any way, that we should be humble and behind the scenes and the world is standing up and taking everything. God wants his people to rise up and do that. Jesus never apologized for his presence.

Sometimes he didn't look very humble at all. He stood up and said, look at me. Before Abraham was, I am.

What? You're claiming to be the very God? Yeah. Oh, you got him in you? Are you ashamed of Jesus? Huh? You stand there as humble little me? I got the king of kings, what do you mean? You know, you've just met a king. Show some respect for royalty, please.

Huh? See, that's a bit of change in teaching, in thinking, for you to start seeing yourself differently. Now, once you've been untaught the wrong things, you can get taught the right things. That alone is going to go a long way.

Removing those blockages in your soul, your emotions might have to get reignited. You see, it's our emotions that drive us. It's our desires and our passions that drive us in life.

And you know, all it needs is a few failures along the way. To quench that passion. Well, I tried it and I failed and I tried again and I failed.

And you know, I tried one more time and I failed again. I'm just not going to try again. Your emotions have become dead and you've lost hope.

You say, well, I believe God and I stepped out boldly. I fell on my face. You're not alone.

Most of us have done that. The question is, did you stay on your face? Did you get up again? And you know, if you did it the second time and you fell on your face again, did it ever occur to you maybe you're doing something wrong? Did it ever occur to you that maybe that's not the way to do it? Everybody else is doing it. It works fine for them.

Yes, but you see, you are unique. Your emotions need to get reignited. You need to get excited about something.

Sometimes we get sidetracked and our emotions are stirred for the wrong things. And Satan's very clever at doing that. Just the moment God puts a passion in us, he'll sidetrack us, maybe pull out something we've always desired to do.

And in order to reach that, we let go of the fresh commitment. It's like when the birds came and took away the seeds that fell by the wayside, so they couldn't grow. Careful.

Every time God gives you something new and you get excited, don't think it's going to go easy. Satan's going to hit you. It's going to hit you hard.

But you see, what's in your mind changes your emotions. What you think changes your emotions. So you don't work on your emotions.

You work first on your thoughts. And if you get the right kind of thoughts and the positive thoughts, and we allow that power from within to begin to flow outwards, your emotions will get ignited along with it. And the other part of the soul is your will.

Sometimes our wills need to be reprogrammed. We got so used to doing things the wrong way. And now it takes an effort to change.

Your mind's got to get changed so that you get new pictures, new goals. And sometimes we need pressure. Newton's law of motion.

It says an object will continue in the direction that it's going unless it's acted upon by some external force to change its path. You're on a path to failure. Every time you get up and try, you'll carry on that same path to failure.

Sometimes God has to send something to push you out of that. And we don't like it. Some of us hate change.

Some of us don't like to do things differently. But if you want God to work in you and to give you the things that you desire, you're going to have to trust him to push you in the right place. You're going to have to trust him to hit the floor in that diamond with his chisel, which hurts. Get off that dirty part that's stopping the sparkle. You're going to have to trust him. Most of us, I'm afraid, need outside help.

Now, if you can hear the voice of the Lord, that kind of makes it easier because then he does it directly. So I'm not a prophet. You don't have to be a prophet to hear the voice of the Lord.

We've given lots of teaching on this. You haven't learned it. Go and learn it.

He's speaking in you 24 hours a day. 24 hours a day. He's speaking right now.

If you'll just quieten down your mind, your thoughts, you'll hear him. He's talking right now. All the time.

All the time. Oh, I never hear from God. It's just death.

Maybe you got the radio turned up too loud. Can't hear his gentle voice. You got all the noise of life turned up all around you.

But if you listen to that voice, he'll tell you exactly what to do. He'll show you how to reach the goals that you desire. He'll show you how to bring the changes that you need to make.

Most of us, however, we find it hard to hear the voice of God directly. We find it easier to listen to a real person. Do you notice that all the successful people out there, they get a trainer and hire them and pay them.

I can never figure that out. Do you know what? If I could just learn which exercises to do to lose weight, why don't I just go and do the exercises? But I've got to have somebody from the outside tell me, do this now. Do that now.

No, no, do it again. Isn't human nature strange? You know, he didn't do it for you. He didn't get in there and do it for you.

You didn't sit and watch while he did the exercise. He made you do it. Well, I've got the best trainer.

That's why I'm so successful. You're telling me you don't have the guts to do yourself, but needs to get done. But don't worry, you're not alone.

We all have weaknesses. We need to find a trainer that will care enough to not care. That will care enough to say, do it again.

You say, but I'm so, I'm hurting. I don't like this. Do it again.

I'm glad I'm not a trainer anymore. I've handed that over to Nadine now and other people. So I'm trying to let go of that.

I'm just trying to be a teacher still a little bit. But I always said to people when I train them, you might like me now, but I'm going to warn you. Before we finish this, you're going to hate me at least once, maybe more.

You people who are in the prophetic classes, especially the office, expect it, expect it because you asked for somebody to steer you in the right direction. But you know, all areas of life are the same. Sometimes we need somebody from the outside.

God has raised up teachers and trainers who will help us, will point us the right direction, put the right pressure on us. And you know, if we can combine all of these things together, you can reach that goal. God has already provided everything you'll ever need to live the very best life.

You've put resources into our spirit that will enable us to do this. The forces of faith and love and hope in our spirits can produce anything. But they must be released outwards before they're going to do it.

And that has to come out via our soul. Unfortunately, soul often blocks the flow and we fail to get what we want. Sang a song today, which perhaps you might understand now.

It says you need a new template to release the power. You need to create something in the soul, a template that will lift the power out. When you do it, that power will flow out.

Now, if you're prepared to change, all things are possible. Not some things, all things are possible. The Lord has made it possible.

You can experience true happiness because he's given you everything you need. All you need to do is to learn how to use it. Father, I thank you for your word.

I pray that it was an inspiration and a challenge and that it offered hope to those who heard it. I give it into your hands. I give myself into your hands and I ask you to give me the wisdom to present the things that you've taught me, that you're busy teaching me, that you're still going to teach me, Lord.

And that as you teach it to me, I will teach it to others. And your name will always be glorified in it. I ask it in Jesus' name.
