WhatsApp Chats Chapter 14 of 32
<-Chapter 13 Chapter 15-> Show Condensed VersionSeptember 09 2024
In Transition
Recently, Daphne posted an article entitled Transition, and many of you responded to it, saying you were also going through transition. But what we are facing here right is not only a transition, but a much bigger thing.
I am going through an experience. I have tried to stop teaching, but it still persists in reality. I am going through a death process.
We began this online while were in Mexico. But when we returned to our homeland of South AFrica, we set up some live training schools. This went for quite some time, but eventually student attendance became erratic, and then the pandemic brought everything to a total halt and we could only continue online.
Training Ministry
For years, we have been effectively a training ministry. We set up a fellowship for students to attend a local church with us, but this never really grew into a local church, and the pandemic also put an end to that.
So, for now, we are still majoring in online ministry. This WhatsApp chat has become a bit like our local church, and we are allowing everyone to join without having to pay student fees.
However, those who want more intensive and personal training must commit to a monthly partner/student contribution.
Ministry Partners
This is our only income apart from a few book sales. We survive only because a few folks have committed to giving us larger monthly amounts as partners in this ministry.
These partners are considered part of the leadership of this ministry, and we are happy to help them set up a branch of GBM where they live if they so desire.
We continue to publish new books, which are sold both from our website and on Amazon.com. These provide a little extra monthly income - especially Amazon.
However, students and partners get free access to all our books online, so we have no other sources of income. We try to offer as much freely as possible to reach more folks, but we are still totally reliant on the donations and love gifts of those who support us.
We have lived this way for many years - looking to the Lord to provide our needs through those who are blessed by our ministry, but largely the burden has fallen on only a few who fully support us in this.
That is why we have to charge for the schools. It is our only guaranteed income. So the main purpose of these chats is to make ourselves more visible somehow, in the hope that those who join us here will spread the word and encourage others to come and partner with us or enroll as students.
If we had more partners who committed to a monthly contribution, we could do so much more in this ministry.
Wealthier Nations
We depend more on nations that can afford to support us, as there is very little available to produce income here locally in this country.
We have tried to use social media such as Facebook to give us greater public visibility, but this has become a source of opposition and criticism of us instead of a resource leading to expansion.
The Problem With Aging
When I was younger and full of energy, I could maintain all the effort needed to keep this going. But now, as I grow older and cannot do as much as I could when I was younger, our hope of expanding the influence of this ministry internationally has begun to fade.
My lifetime is limited, and I should have retired years ago. But like Joshua, who only took over at 80, I am now facing a kind of restart to return to what we had and to cause this ministry to finally grow and expand.
Many of the exciting visions I had years ago have either been fulfilled or have now died, and I am facing what I call the Death of A Vision—at least the death of the old visions I have had. This should hopefully lead to the resurrection of a new vision that will take us to a new place.
Waiting For Resurrection
But right now, I am in that transition known as being in the grave after the death of a vision, waiting for the Lord to somehow resurrect the vision.
I have no Joshua to hand over to like Moses, so I am forced to transition from Moses to Joshua, which is a totally different kind of ministry.
I hope some of you have watched, read, or listened to the lectures in Joshua The Groundbreaker. When I first preached that, I was much younger and full of energy. Now, I have to somehow return to that kind of preaching.
In reality, I have stopped teaching behind the pulpit and have become comfortable sharing only here on WhatsApp. Most folks look forward to retiring when they get old. But I do not have that privilege.
I can only hope that eventually, those whom I have trained will rise up and take the vision. But then those who have done so usually go out and build their own ministry, and this ministry continues to struggle, barely surviving.
My Helpers Became The Opposition
Some, whom I put my hope in, even from my own family, have now become a kind of competition to me. They take what I taught them and offer it to other organizations, or they form their own ministry in competition with mine.
The only way out is for me to turn the clock somehow back again
and start over. The Lord told me first to transition to Abraham and promised He would rejuvenate me as He did for Abraham.
I will be turning 74 on October 2, so starting again is just not in the hat. John is beginning to rise up, and the Lord said he will become a Solomon. But there is no Joshua yet - only me.
It It Time For Joshua
So I need to return to the training of the Joshua apostles. This is the most exciting apostolic mandate, and it is well within the reach of many of you.
It takes years for the teaching ministry to have an effect. Many of you have been through all my teaching for years. However, the teacher is more analytical and non-aggressive.
We need Joshuas, who are expressive drivers, young, and full of energy. This is what will produce the new move of God and an increase in the manifestation of his power.
The Three P’s
Some years ago I began a series using as a structure in what I called the three P’s.
These were 1. The Principles, 2. The Presence and 3. The Power
Now, I have had to add a fourth P. It is the Pattern.
The Church has strayed from the pattern God intended. So much of my mandate has been presenting the New Pattern, an attempt to change from the old to the new.
When Moses first led the nation of Israel out of Eqypt, he set up what was known as the Church in the Wilderness. And he made the mistake most preachers always make. He tried to do the work of the ministry all by himself.
It nearly wore him out. He spent all day counseling people who came to him for help. So his father-in-law gave him a suggestion.
He told him to divide the people up into groups and appoint leaders over each Group. That way, the workload could be shared.
So Moses appointed leaders of 10, 50, 100 and 1000, and then eventually a leader for each tribe.
The World And The Devil
The Church of God is in a spiritual warfare against a vast enemy. Firstly, those people in this world under Satan’s control, and then all the demons of darkness.
Learning From Military Service
Now, some years ago, I was called up for national service to do military training, and they did not simply give you a weapon, throw you all together, and send you out to war.
They began by separating everyone into groups. Each new callup was considered a Company of soldiers, and that company was then divided up into groups known as Platoons.
But even a Platoon was a big number, so they divided up platoons into squads,
a group of maybe 4 or 5 people under a low-level leader.
You had to learn first to function in a small group before you were ready for war. You learned to march in step with a smaller group of other soldiers before they put you on the field to march in rank with thousands.
Later, on the full battlefield, platoons became gathered together in companies and companies under battalions.
Different Kinds of Leaders
The leader of a platoon was higher than the leader of just a squad, the leader of a company was higher than the leader of a platoon, and the leader of a battalion was still higher.
This is exactly how Moses set up the nation of Israel, and when they eventually went into battle under Joshua, they were already set up in ranks and groups. This is the only kind of pattern that can be used for a large group of people.
And though the military knows how to use it, it seems the Body of Christ thinks they can do it differently. That is why the pattern is so important and why God has begun to restore small-group fellowship to the Church.
Purpose For Small Groups
In small home groups, we can get to know each other better, and learn to flow together in a group. Then, when you have several smaller groups working well, you can combine them into a larger group.
So, the way Moses set things up was the best. You begin with groups of about 10 - this is about the biggest group you can get into a home at a time, and you teach someone to be leader of that group. We call them home cell leaders.
Then, when there are about five home cells all working well, you can combine them together to meet as a larger group - a group of 50, and now you need a stronger leader to take charge of that group.
The Local Church
This, in effect, could. be considered a local church meeting in one place
, and the leader would be the pastor of that church.
As the numbers grow, you can eventually bring 10 home groups together into a group of 100. This would be a larger local church, and eventually, you could have ten of these larger groups in an area who could come together at times in one large group of 1000 people. This could be considered a megachurch.
The Mega Church
But what do we still do today? A leader rises up and tries to build a mega church all under his own leadership. And if that leader falls into sin, the whole church is affected.
We set up churches like businesses worldwide, with one person at the top controlling everything. So clearly, the best pattern is to start small and then build upwards.
More Than a Pattern
But now, returning to the military pattern. What if you took all those squads, platoons, companies, and battalions into war without arming the soldiers and teaching them how to use their weapons?
You see, fellowship is not enough. The main reason for coming together in small groups is for fellowship and growth, and this way, you could soon grow a local church to reach the whole community.
But if it is only the leaders who know how to do spiritual warfare, then you have a whole bunch of people all set in the right pattern, but they lack a few things.
The Presence And The Power
They do not know how to bring the Lord's presence, tap into His power, and use that presence and power against the enemy.
So, you may have a church based on the right pattern, but it has no power. Then, what use is the right pattern? It works great for bringing in new believers and finding a place to fit them in. But who will ultimately lead the battle? There has to be a chain of command.
A Chain Of Command
Now, you will notice that when Joshua heard from the Lord about what to do with Jericho, he began by calling together all the leaders under him and telling them what he planned to do.
They then communicated this to the people. The people had time to discuss it all together in their small groups before the whole mass moved out into war.
So it is necessary for us to first set up the right pattern, which is small group fellowship. This is how the early church functioned. But then there must be a communication upward and downward, and there must be an equipping and training of the people.
So that everyone knows their place and can move together as one. I have tried to train the leaders from the top, and show them how things need to be set up.
Satus Quo Pattern
However, most of them have looked instead at the pattern of the Status Quo church, and they eventually gravitate to that pattern. Then we return to dominating leaders who try to call all the shots and take the glory for themselves.
When the enemy rises up against the Church, there is no unity or direction or knowledge of warfare and Satan wins all the way to the bank.
So this is where the Joshua Apostles must come in. They must work with the established leadership - starting with small groups and upward, and get them all working together to fight the common enemy.
Learning The Four P’s
Every believer must learn all of the four P’s - The principles of living by the Spirit of God. The principle of knowing that every believer has the fullness of God living inside of them.
They must learn the principle of how to tap into that anointing and release it first into their own lives, and then into the lives of others. Then, they must learn to do all of this according to the right pattern.
They must learn how to develop intimacy with the Lord Jesus, then take His presence with them to others and combine together with other believers, the power that each one has. So that together, the power is highly magnified - what some have referred to as the Corporate Anointing.
Tapping Your Inner Resources
It all begins with first learning to tap into what is in your spirt, then sharing that with other believers - which is done best in small group fellowship.
Unfortunately, most of us have become dependent on receiving help from others. We look for a place or group where God is moving and try to jump into their river of blessing.
So when a group of people learn to tap into the presence and power of God, suddenly, everyone comes to join in, and they call this a revival. And they will say something like - God is pouring revival on that church or place.
The True Source of Revival
Many are praying for God to bring revival to their group or church. But God does not pour out His power on places or groups. He has already placed it into every believer.
And if a group of believers learn to tap into it and share it, there comes an explosion of power, and revival manifests easily.
So how does this come about? I have given a lot of teaching on this, and I am going to be reminding you soon of these things. But here is where it all starts.
When you received the anointing or baptism of the spirit you got the fullness of God’s power, and this is now resident in you. You never need to get rebaptized in the Spirit.
How To Start A Revival
All you need is to get that original anointing reignited in you, and you do not need someone else to do that for you. You can tap into it all by yourself and amplify it.
Then you can join together with other believers who have done the same
and each little spark of flame, when joined together with the others, leads to a raging fire.
This is how all revivals began, often with just one person then a small group
and then the fire spreads.
Activating Your Mantle of Power
How is this done? By activating your mantle of power. I have been teaching you this for a while now.
How do you activate your mantle of power? In the throne room of Grace - a place where the Lord is worshipped and praised. When you come with worship into the presence of the Lord Jesus in His throne room, your spirit will come to life, and you will receive directly from Him a fresh touch of His power.
That mantle of power inside of you comes to life, and you will have all the exciting feelings of His presence. Maintain and grow this with more worship and praise, then go out and spread it to others.
It Starts With Praise And Worship
This is done easily when a group of believers come together into this throne room and begin to praise and worship him. There comes a strong release of His power from deep within you. This is where revival begins.
The Power of Music
Now, you can do it simply by praising the lord in English and then in tongues
but it is greatly enhanced through music. I have given teaching on how music can do this, and I will be releasing more teaching on this soon.
But Music often ties us to past experiences and groups. We get hung up on music genres and styles of singing. This draws us closer to singing groups than it does to the Lord.
By far the best music is the music you are singing yourself, and if you can play an instrument with it even better. What I have done to help us tap into that inner power is to write our own music.
Then the words, combined with the music we put to them, release that power within. It causes our mantle of power to ignite and come to life. You will find while you are singing under the anointing, you can sense something rising up inside you, until it feels like a bomb wanting to explode.
Then, the mantle of power is fully activated, and you can release that power in many different directions.
The Purpose For GBM Music
Perhaps you have some music that you prefer to listen to, which might help you do this. Personally, I find most Christian music recorded and released to the public lacking in this. That is why I write my own.
So I would like to offer you to play and listen to our music for a bit, and tap into the anointing that is in it. The only way this will work is through repetition.
Our songs are recorded and uploaded freely for you to listen to online or download to your device. I have written songs with words designed to teach you how to tap into that anointing.
We have several albums available already online, but I would like to recommend you start with these albums:
https://gbm-music.com/songs-of-anointing/
https://gbm-music.com/tapping-your-inner-resources
You can find all our current albums here - https://gbm-music.com/current-albums
Listen to the words and the music and try to enter into worship while listening.
You can easily learn the words and then sing along, too. I have used keys that are easy enough for most folks to sing in and keep to basic chords that anyone can play. Try giving it a go this week and you will soon find that power inside of you beginning to rise up.
Eventually you will find yourself singing some of these songs without thinking
and the power will return. I plan to write a whole lot more songs shortly, so you will not get bored with the old ones.
Using Our Songs
I also provide the chords for those who would like to play and sing these songs. You could use them in your home group. What will happen especially is you will pick up my anointing and this alone will bring a closer unity between us
Music has the ability to bring back good feelings. It builds a template into you
and later, that music takes you back to an era when you will flowing in the anointing, and you experience it all over again.
One last thing I want to share with you, which we have proved in experience. Joshua took the city of Jericho by doing something over and over again.
Each day they walked around the walls with priests playing the music. So you can use the songs to do this daily.
Process of Bulldozing
But you could also take some powerful Scripture promises and repeat them over and over as you walk around the walls. Imagine the walls. are what is standing in the way of your revival and anointing
Walk around them each day speaking the Word, speaking in tongues and singing songs. You can move from singing songs in English to singing in tongues. But do it at least one a day like Joshua did with the people.
Then on the seventh day, or when you feel your faith is high enough and the anointing strong enough, you go around the wall seven times. Or as many times as it takes to give you a breakthrough.
We call this bulldozing. You will find each day you begin to sense a buildup in the spirit, and eventually, when you do it several times, there will be a great surge of power
You will see those walls come tumbling down, and you will have your breakthrough both in the spirit and in the natural. You may find healing comes or miraculous provision takes place - whatever you are believing the Lord for.
You can also combine this with fasting, but It is not usually necessary. If everyone in this group gets a breaktrhough like that, there will be revival in GBMI.We will sense a change in the atmosphere when we come together.
But we must do this together, as Joshua caused the nation of Israel to do.
Then, once the breakthrough is there, you can maintain it. But continue to take time in His presence in the throne room of Jesus.
Then you will take His presence and His power with you wherever you go. You wil find it so easy to sense His presence. You will not need to pray for long periods to break through, but the moment you close your eyes or begin to pray, He will be there.
I look forward to hearing some great testimonies by next week. You can start posting some responses already in this group, once you experience it.
Let’s rise up as a mighty army in His name and Power shall we? Let’s break down those walls and enter into his blessing. Let’s start with Revival in GBM, then take it to the world and those around us.
Facing Change
Now, you may find that in the process, the Lord is going to put His finger on some things in your life, that you should get rid of. This is not the key to revival, but it always comes with revival.
The ultimate goal of the spiritual life is to enter and live in the promised land. This is not heaven one day, but something we can experience right now already in this life.
There will always be some warfare involved because we have an enemy. So do not be surprised if you come under attack - both from Satan and people. Just keep pushing through.
And this is also where we need one another. Our fellowship is very important,
so if you have any difficulties, share them here, so we can encourage one another.
This is what we should always be doing in the Body of Christ. But unfortunately, we often have in the Spiritual body what sometimes happens in the natural body. There is a physical problem known as autoimmune disease, where the body begins to attack itself,
The body of Christ often suffers from the same disease. We try to compete with one another and tear each other down, or rejoice when someone fails or falls. Watch out for that.
We aim to build the Kingdom of God - not our own kingdom. We must always esteem others as higher than us and let the Lord exalt us in His way.
I want you all to know I highly appreciate and love each one of you, and I will always do my best to see you rise up and take your place in this world.
When you come into close fellowship with the Lord Jesus you do not need others to lift you up. Jesus does this very effectively without them.
Thanks for listening to my problems, and thanks for caring. Now let’s rise up together and take the land for Him, shall we?
Let’s enjoy the rest of revival also. If you have not watched that teaching yet, go do it.
I hope to also do some new preaching from the pulpit, which will be uploaded freely for you all to watch and listen.
Love you guys, and have a wonderful week of blessing. Let revival begin, amen
