"Well I can't cast germs out. I know I have authority to cast Satan out, but I can't cast germs out."

Satan has our mind all tied up, so that we are looking in the physical all the time and we say,

"Well I know nothing about curing physical problems or anything about medication. I'll leave that to the experts, to the research scientists who have studied all these things. They know what kind of chemicals will kill what kind of germs."

We are thinking in the wrong terms, and yet it so simple to come in the Spirit.

I remember reading about one of the first experiences that Smith Wigglesworth had concerning healing. I do not know if it was his mother or if it was him, but somebody was lying in bed and in pain, suffering with appendicitis.

A woman who lived next door and was always into this healing thing came there with her young son to come and pray.

The young son jumped on the bed. He took his fist and punched the person in the appendix and said,

"Devil come out!"

The person was healed instantly.

Wigglesworth said he learned to treat sickness and disease as a devil. You see sickness and disease is a living thing. It has a name, and that name has to bow to the name of Jesus.

Seeing Sickness as a Demon

God taught me to have authority over demons, and I found that I could have authority over every level of demon from the smallest principality right up to the Prince of Darkness himself.

I knew the Word and what it taught, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow. But when it came to sickness and disease, that was another story.

For years I struggled with healing. I could bring deliverance instantly. I could come against the most strongly demonized influence in the lives of people.

I didn't care how big the demon was, he was coming out because I knew I had authority and I knew that he had to bow to the name of Jesus. If he argued with me I said,

"I'm not arguing with you; you're coming out."

Eventually he got the message that I was not arguing with him and that he must come out, and he obeyed.

But how do you cast out germs? How do you cast out arthritis or a stomach ulcer? We think in physical terms, but yet there is a spiritual power involved there that is causing that sickness and disease.

One of the first things the Lord showed me was when I read that Jesus stood over Peter's mother-in-law who was suffering in bed with a fever. The Scripture says He rebuked the fever and told it to leave. I thought,

"Yes, that was a demon. It's quite simple. Jesus stood over her, looked at that fever demon and said, 'I rebuke you and you will go!' "

I thought to myself,

"I can do that."

It did not take me long to have experience with fevers. When you have young children or a little baby that develops a fever late at night, you cannot get hold of the doctor because he is asleep.

Your child is running a fever though, so what do you do? I thought I would do like Jesus and rebuke the fever. I knew I had authority over demons, so I looked at that fever and said,

"You demon, you spiritual thing, you fever I rebuke you in the name of Jesus and you will leave."

I could not believe it; it just disappeared. Within minutes the fever was gone. And do you know I have always had faith for fevers since then.

Why? Because somehow in my mental thinking I began to see fever as being a demonic power. And knowing that I had authority over demonic powers I could easily rebuke it and it would go.

When it came to dealing with other physical problems it was not quite the same, but they are all caused by the same thing. They are all caused by demonic powers. And they all originate from the same kind of spirit of destruction in the body.

We need to learn to recognize our authority in Christ and realize that every demon power must bow to the name of Jesus.

We need to realize that every one of us, as God's children, has the authority in Him and in His name to come against those things, to speak to them and say,

"You're going to leave now. You must go. You flu virus, you're a demon. I am not seeing you as a germ anymore. You are the cold demon and you're coming out!"

He will try and hide and say,

"No I'm not a demon, I'm a virus."

I have found when demons try to do that I would see their game and say,

"I'm talking to you and you will come out."

"Nope."

"I said come out."

He will argue with me in the spirit and say,

"No I'm not coming out."

I will say, "Oh yes you are."

"No I'm not."

"Yes you are"

He gets the message after a while, if you are persistent enough and if you really believe your authority and the Word of God enough. He will have to go if you believe in the power that there is in the name of Jesus.

Early Healing Experience

I have shared this story elsewhere but I am going to share it again. One of the first experiences that God gave me of healing was when my one daughter was still a child and she developed a bad kidney infection.

The doctor examined her and said,

"This is going to take a while to clear."

He immediately prescribed all the antibiotics and booked her off school for a week.

Well I tried praying as best I could that the Lord would heal her but nothing happened. She was lying in bed sick and I was waiting on the Lord and praying, and the Lord said,

"Go and use the authority I have given you in the name of Jesus."

I went up there to her room quickly and I was charged. I said,

"You kidney infection, you will bow to the name of Jesus."

As I did that the Lord opened my eyes and I saw in the Spirit what looked like a spider sitting on her kidney. It was a spirit of infirmity.

It was not viruses that were causing her kidney infection. It wasn't germs, but it was a demon force. As I spoke to that demon force and told it to go, I saw it crawl off her body and walk out the door.

At that point her body would have healed itself. The infection would have started to go away, and within a short space of time, with the medication that was given, it would have cured her.

But then God gave me His power and the gift of healing operated. The healing light began to shine.

As I laid my hands on her I saw her kidney in the spirit. It was as though it was cut open in an operating theatre, and I could see it was like a purple color.

I just knew that purple had to be a bad color in this case. As I prayed I saw it turn a beautiful red, and I just knew it was over and that she was healed.

The next day she got up and she was fine. All the symptoms were gone. I do not think she even carried on with the medicine. She didn't even bother because it was over. God had healed her.

Well I tried praying and ministering healing before, but no healing had come. Why? Because there was a spiritual power involved there.

You need to realize when you are dealing with sickness and disease that there is a spiritual power involved that is causing that sickness and disease. And you need to deal with that spiritual power first before healing can come.

Accelerate the Body's Healing

Once you have dealt with that, then all you need to do is say,

"Hallelujah, shine your light now Lord. Now in place of that spirit of destruction that was there, I'm speaking a spirit of restoration."

All that happens now is a new spiritual force comes in from God and speeds up the healing process. Very often when you pray with somebody like that, the speeding up process begins to show itself in intense heat.

There is an accelerated healing process going on in the body. Sometimes you will begin to feel an intense heat in that diseased part of the body.

God's healing light begins to flood in like a laser beam. It begins to restore and rejuvenate what was taken from that part of the body, and it gets healed.

It is really such a simple process that we miss it. We miss it because our minds have been programmed into thinking the way Satan wants us to think.

We have been programmed with the way the medical profession has told us to think; that this is purely a physical problem and we have to heal it with physical means.

No it is not just physical; it is a spiritual problem. God is not the author of sickness and disease. Satan is the root of all affliction and Jesus defeated him on Calvary. Because of that we can walk in divine health.

Prayer for Healing

I am going to pray now and ask the Spirit of God to be present and for His anointing to come. I am going to ask the Lord to move by His Spirit and I will speak out what He shows me.

You may be reading this a long time from now, but the anointing of God will be captured in these words.

Even as God's power can be captured in hankies and aprons, so God's power is going to be captured on this very book and in the words that I am speaking.

I want you to just reach out to the Lord. I want you to relax in His presence, because I am going to speak out a word to that power of darkness that is binding your body.

I am going to speak to that spirit of destruction that is destroying your health, and to that spirit of theft that is stealing what is your right.

I will speak to that spirit of strife that is causing conflict and confusion in your body. I am going to tell them to leave and put them in chains.

Then I will send out the healing light of the Lord Jesus Christ. You will feel His healing power coming upon your body.

Wherever you may be suffering, if you can reach it I want you to put your hand on that part of your body where the pain or suffering is.

The Spirit of God that is within you is going to rise up and begin to glow with the healing light. His power will flow out even through your hand to your own body and God is going to heal you.

"Father in the name of Jesus now I stand in that authority and in that name which is above every other name. I come against you spirit of destruction that would destroy the bodies of those whom God created to walk in health.

In the name of Jesus I put you in chains and I command that your power be broken.

In the name of Jesus, you thief who would steal and kill and destroy, you will destroy no longer in that body. You spirit of destruction I bind you in Jesus' name and I command you to loose your hold now.

You spirit of theft that would steal health, energy and strength; that would steal clear thinking and every good thing that God has put into that body, in the name of Jesus I command you to loose your hold now.

You will obey. You hear me, Satan. You will go!

You spirit of strife, don't you dare try and hide away! I know that you are there. You are coming out and you are going, and you are leaving that body now in the name of Jesus.

Thank you Father. I command those forces to be removed, and even now I ask you to send the angels to assist in this matter, to remove these powers and to take them away.

In the name of Jesus, every bit of destruction is leaving. Hallelujah.

I command that that body be released. I command that that organ and that limb be released. I command that those eyes be released.

I command that that eye that has been blinded as a result of these demonic forces will be released from that blindness now, in the name of Jesus.

I command that that ear that has been deaf as a result of this demonic power be released of that deafness now in the name of Jesus.

I speak to that that limb that has been corroded. I come against you now you corrosive spirit of destruction that would destroy those bones and cause that calcification.

In the name of Jesus you will get out of that body now and you will no longer destroy it. In Jesus' name you're leaving.

In Jesus' name you demon of darkness that would attack that heart, that would try to clog up the blood vessels and clot the blood to prevent it from flowing and slow it down; in the name of Jesus you're coming out.

You are leaving that heart now in the name of Jesus. You are leaving that chest cavity now and you will trouble that person no more.

You infection of the lungs that has inhibited the breathing and has caused fluid in the lungs, you are drying up and you are coming out. You spirit of destruction you are going now. In the name of Jesus you are leaving.

In Jesus' name you kidney infection and you kidney stone that has been forming in that kidney; in the name of Jesus, you spiritual power that has been causing that formation you are leaving. It is not going to happen anymore.

You spirit of diabetes, in the name of Jesus, you demon force that has prevented those glands from secreting and forming the insulin the way they should, you are not going to interfere with it anymore.

They will function normally now. They will secrete insulin the way they should. And this person will not have to take insulin anymore because their natural insulin flow will increase and return to normal levels. It is going to produce again in the name of Jesus.

I am shining the healing light now in the name of Jesus. Thank you Father. Thank you Spirit of God for moving now.

Move upon every single person. Spirit of God move and let your healing warmth come upon that body. Let your healing light shine.

Let your glory come in that body now in the name of Jesus. Let it flow through the nervous system and to every single part. Let the warmth of the light of the radiance of your glory flow in now. 

I send forth a spirit of restoration and healing now to reach in and restore where that spirit of destruction has broken down; to bring back that which was lost and to restore that body to wholeness and to the way it should be.

In the name of Jesus all strife will cease. There will be peace and there will be harmony in that body.

In the name of Jesus now there will be agreement between the brain, the nervous system and the organs.

In the name of Jesus that heart will beat normally. That heart will receive the instructions from the brain, and the sensory vessels will function the way they are meant to.

The glands will secrete the way they are meant to, right from the pituitary gland down to the others. The hormone levels will return to normal now in Jesus' name."

I see someone lying in hospital. Perhaps as you are reading this your heart is going out, not for your physical needs, but for somebody else's. You can see them very clearly and I can see them very clearly.

"In the name of Jesus we are going to send the healing light right there to that person now and we are going to stand together in agreement. The Scripture says, Where two or more agree concerning anything that they ask it shall be done.

Therefore we stand in agreement now. We shine the healing light. Oh Lord Jesus, shine your healing light right now on that person lying in the hospital bed. Just relieve their pain and their suffering right now.

Satan you have given a bad report. The doctors have given an evil report and they have given up hope, but there is always hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus I command you to be lifted up, to be raised up, and to be set free.

In Jesus' name I speak to that skin cancer. In Jesus' name you will be removed. You are a destructive force you skin cancer. You're a spirit of destruction and you're leaving that man now in the name of Jesus.

You are leaving him now. You are getting off his skin now, and his skin will be restored and made whole and new and in perfect soundness. In the name of Jesus I thank you for it, Father.

Thank you Lord for your healing power. Thank you for the name of Jesus. Thank you for breaking the curse and bringing us your blessing.

Hallelujah. We thank you for it and we give you the honor for it. Lord Jesus may your people rise up and may they know the truth that will set them free. Thank you for it Lord, in the name of Jesus."

I trust that as you read this prayer, you sensed the anointing of the Lord upon you, and that His healing power began to flow through you.
