A New Era Begins

When we first formed LesDaph ministries we planned to establish our own ministry apart from GBM because it seemed like the Lord was leading us to hand GBM over to others and go through a kind of retirement process.

However, the Lord led in a different direction, and we took back the reins of GBM, including establishing the Fivefold Training Schools. This was an unexpected direction because the Lord appeared to be showing us to minister more to everyone at all levels rather than just the leadership levels.

In time, we realized that the Lord did not want us to return to working only with leaders but wanted us to set our original training mechanism in motion while continuing to minister on subjects that applied to every believer.

Our weekly school sessions on WhatsApp continued to address practical subjects apart from the schools so we could continue ministering to everyone at a more practical level, while still training them for the Fivefold Ministry.

Daphne and Me Together

When the Lord first brought Daphne into my life, we began to work together in a team ministry. Since we were both prophetic, we would minister to those the Lord brought us and do it together. I would get revelation and share it, and then Daphne would also get additional revelation and together we would present our revelations in the process of ministering to folks.

We began to set in motion what we felt should be a pattern in ministry of a husband and wife ministering together. It was very successful and brought us close to each other in the Lord. We had already come to the place in our marriage where we so shared our hearts, that sometimes we would begin to say the same thing at the same time.

Now, in the Spirit, the same thing was beginning to take place. We would each get a different aspect of revelation, which together made up a full picture. We were headed in a direction that is not seen much these days in ministry couples. And we felt that we were setting a standard for husband and wife teams in the future.

Husband and Wife Teams

When we first got married, the Lord told us He would be sending us couples to work with. He said we were to treat them in a similar way to how Samson took foxes, tied them together, put fire in their tails, and sent them into the enemy’s camp. So we should deal with all barriers between them, and bring them together as a team. Then put some spiritual fire in them and send them out into the world to destroy the works of darkness.

The plan was clear, and we looked to the Lord to bring it to pass, but things took a very different turn. Being stuck in Mexico and only able to minister online, I felt led to begin preaching and teaching on the Fivefold Ministries. And as we began to accumulate materials it made sense for us to offer these as training for those called to the Fivefold Ministry functions.

My ministry as a Teacher rose up, but Daphne’s main function which was more pastoral, moved more into the background. We were not pastoring anyone or starting a church, but we were training leaders at a very high level. This required a strong temperament and readiness to address and correct people. And although I could do this, Daphne was too much a loving caring motherly person to be active in it.

Setting Up High Level Training

When my eldest daughter and son-in-law joined us in Mexico, it became obvious that she was more geared towards training and dealing with students at the Fivefold level. So she joined me in the process of setting up firstly a school for Prophets and then later a school for Apostles.

As this grew internationally, we began to hold conferences in Mexico with an emphasis on the Fivefold. Because the main emphasis was on training leaders, and my daughter and I were leading this, both of our spouses were pushed into the background and only produced basic ministry articles. Daphne set up a complete daily devotional library covering every day for a year.

Other than that, she did not feature much in my ministry activity, but she did play a major role in intercession, backing us in prayer and taking, at times, the prayer burdens of the students. Praying became her forte and she began to write books on the subject of prayer.

So, although we were both active in ministry, our original vision of working together side by side as a team and helping married couples moved into the background and almost disappeared.

Change in Location

We continued ministering for some 17 years in Mexico until the Lord led us again in an unexpected direction. We could no longer justify our visa in Mexico and were forced to return to our homeland of South Africa. This was a major change in our lives, where we had to leave behind all the possessions we had accumulated to start all over again.

But now we could work with real live people in real live classes instead of only on the internet. And we soon set up training schools using our double garage as a meeting hall. And for the first time we began to train people face to face. It was too huge a task for me to manage all alone, and it was really not the kind of thing Daphne was geared to do. I needed someone strong and bold in leadership to assist me.

Enter My Spiritual Daughter

The Lord had brought Nadine Stohler into our lives, and when we returned to South Africa, she came with us. I had fully imparted to her all that I had learned concerning the Fivefold Ministry, and she was keen to rise up as a trainer of God’s leaders.

So, a new era began, and we could now set up a weekly church meeting for some of our students to attend. So Daphne could once again become involved with me in the Pastoral ministry. We could both preach from the pulpit and once again minister to individuals personally as we did in the past.

I began to delegate more of the responsibility of training the Fivefold Leaders to Nadine and move more into practical ministry for all believers. And things were going well when the Covid19 pandemic struck. This ended our live classes and fellowship, and we had to return to online only.

WhatsApp Weekly Sessions

With Nadine running the schools, I could now move to a more general ministry, and I could use WhatsApp to do weekly lessons on subjects not connected with the Fivefold Ministry. We established a new school called The School of the Supernatural which drew in new students not connected with the Fivefold Schools.

So, as my ministry began to return to more practical emphasis, Daphne and I moved closer to one another again in ministry. She could now participate with me but still took more of a background position. We would minister to people via video chat and we could do it together.

Slowly we were returning to the original vision God had given us. And now there seemed to be signs that God was bringing in new prospects who were married and not single. Until then, most of our students were single.

Further changes came as the Lord led Nadine to move out into her own ministry, and we once more took control of the Fivefold Training Schools. They were relaunched in a new format and set in place to train the leaders. Our main emphasis began to move towards raising up those called to the higher levels to be trained as Apostles.

We continued to minister still at a more general level, with our emphasis in the weekly WhatsApp chats being more on practical ministry.

Launching The Apostles Desk

I had started a new blog site called The Apostles Desk, which was not used often. My original intention was to publish articles from the various apostles in GBM, but it did not work out. Then the Lord told me to relaunch it and to become the only apostle of the Apostles Desk.

My approach in these new blogs was to take a single subject based on teachings I had given before and present it in the form of a specific number of main points. This proved popular, and Daphne began to post her own blogs on her personal website. We were functioning similarly, yet each was in our own realm.

Our Spiritual New Year

The Lord showed long ago that April 1st would be a spiritual new year for us. This began when I read somewhere that this was the first day of the Bible Calendar. And from that time, the Lord always seemed to lead us in some new directions from April.

This was also a special time because Daphne was born on April 1st so celebrating her birthday has always been combined with getting ready for a spiritual new year.

This year, the Lord showed even more than usual. He spoke to us Prophetically and indicated that it was time for Daphne to rise up to a higher level in ministry and for me to concentrate more on ministering at a practical level. Together, each of us would be functioning in a similar way.

It was clear that the Lord has finally brought us together again for a combined ministry and that this will lead to the continuation of the original plan He had in mind for us.

So look out for some new blogs on this website where Daphne and I will minister together in front of the camera as a team. We also hope to do the same at times when we are behind the pulpit.
